  • How is the master programme organised?

    The programme is designed to give a highly qualified specialisation in the field of Energy Technology. It is offered in English language in cooperation with our partner university Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, Finland.

    The study programme will start on 1st September each year. Please note that the first year will held at our partner university in Finland.

  • Is my bachelor degree appropriate for the double degree programme?

    You are welcome to apply if you have completed an international accepted (at least 3-year) Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Power Engineering. Job experience is not required. Your Bachelor degree certification should be good or excellent. Your application will be checked by our partner university as well. Application starts each year in December, deadline for the application is 15 January. Please note that Non-EU students apply via uniassist.

  • Which study costs can I expect?

    When you are accepted at LUH, you will pay the semester fees each semester at LUH and administration fees at our partner university. There are no tution fees at LUH.

  • Which English language certification is required?

    You need following minimum score of English language test certificate: TOEFL Academic – 95 iBT or 627 PBT, IELTS Academic – 7.0, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) – grade A, B, or C PTE Academic – 76. We only accept applications with valid language certifications.

    Detailed information about English language certification you will find on the Leibniz Language Center. Please note that the first year will held at our partner university LUT in Lappeenranta / Finland. German or Finnish language skills are recommended but not required.

  • Whom can I contact with questions about the application?

    Our international admissions team is responsible for the application for Non- EU students. EU students can contact our service team. You will find all information about the requirements and the procedure of application on the website. Please note that we strongly focus on your motivation letter within your application. Application starts each year in December, deadline for the application is 15 January.

    For non-EU prospective students please note: You can only apply for the master degree programme Energy Technology with preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist. You must apply for this to uni-assist at least eight weeks before the application deadline for the study programme expires - take this into account when planning your application! More information

  • Are there any scholarships for the programme?

    It is possible to apply for an ERASMUS+ - scholarship for the first 10 months of the programme, i.E. your study time in Finland.  More information about ERASMUS+ - scholarschips can be found on the website of our International Office.
